Institutional investors increasingly benchmark ESG credentials before committing capital. For our client who handles two million square metres of commercial real estate, sustainability performance had become a strategic imperative. Annual GRESB and GRI submissions, the industry's defining measures of ESG performance, had grown to an extent that spreadsheets and email chains could no longer support.

Sustainability information was spread across multiple systems and teams operating in different markets. Teams spent significant time collecting and verifying data, inconsistencies were hard to identify and there was no reliable portfolio-wide view of sustainability performance.

Some systems could integrate automatically, others still depended on spreadsheets and third parties. Instead of using an API-first model, we implemented a hybrid ingestion architecture to support both.

GRESB and GRI methodologies and regulatory requirements evolve. Instead of hard-coding logic into the application, we built a configurable engine that adapts and applies the right calculations for any reporting scenario.

Turn data into decisions
Stakeholders at different levels needed to understand what the data was telling them. We built dashboards that translate sustainability datasets into clear insights, property comparisons and gaps that need attention.
