End-To-End Race Management
One platform from first route to finish line

Planning, approval, race day and records in one place

Road cycling events are complex, high-stakes operations running across public spaces, yet most organisers still rely on spreadsheets, paper lists and WhatsApp groups. Our Norway-based client faced just these challenges with time lost in coordination, scattered authority documents blocking approval requirements and no live view for control and field teams on race day. The most glaring gap was that all this could put rider safety at risk.

LocusBase powered by TIQRI was built to replace this patchwork of tools with a single source of truth for operational clarity and rider safety.
End-To-End Race Management
What is LocusBase
LocusBase is a race operations platform built with safety at its core and covering the full lifecycle of a road cycling event. The foundation is a map-driven planning environment where the entire race takes shape from first draft of the route through regulatory readiness, live operations on race day and the post-race archive that stands up when authorities or insurers come asking.

Every role on the event be it race director, club administrator, chief marshal, field marshal or sign crew all work from the same platform with one version of the truth.

Built around how the race actually moves
Plan

Build the race on the road itself
Routes, signs, marshal posts and zones are placed on the actual course map, and not described in a document.

Multi-stage races are configured with full route layouts and stage breakdowns. People are assigned to posts before the event opens. Club catalogues keep signs, marshal types and zones consistent across every race the club runs.
Get Ready

Confirm readiness before the start
Road-use approval from authorities are an important legal requirement in Norway.

LocusBase has a readiness checklist with what is confirmed and what still blocks the race. Planning can only be marked complete when blockers are cleared and the operational race view opens only after. Race directors go to the start line knowing the race is ready.
Race

Live feed for control room and course
Race control has live views of course map, personnel and alerts. Sign crews confirm each placement before moving on. Field teams use our mobile app for briefing, navigation to post, check-in and incident reporting with images and GPS.

When something happens on the course it is raised, acknowledged and tracked to resolution. The app also works offline and syncs when signal returns.
Proof

Records that hold up after
LocusBase builds the post-race archive through the event itself instead of being reconstructed from notes afterwards. Every check-in, incident and sign placement is timestamped and searchable. This always-on history of planning and field actions simplifies future decision making and details are accessible when authorities ask.

Safer operations on the day with stronger records when it matters after.

Tech for high-stakes sports

LocusBase made its debut at the Norwegian Youth Road Cycling Championships, 'Ungdoms-NM' in Skien in August 2026 proving the platforms success.

The challenge LocusBase addresses is not unique to cycling. Any sport that moves across public infrastructure with field teams to coordinate, authorities to satisfy and a record to maintain faces similar fragmentation. LocusBase brings it all into one place for cleaner planning, confident execution and safety that doesn't depend on whoever happens to be standing in the right place.

LocusBase powered by TIQRI is architected to scale and flex with the reality of the most complex events of any sport. It is built for wherever the road goes next.
